For example, in Asian Am 10 I just got my midterm back. Who grades these? And who grades the one big research paper in the class? All the TA?

Depends on the class. Probably the TAs. Sometimes the prof will read through after TAs grade.

agree with above. it’s usually the TAs, except in really dense, difficult classes, sometimes the professor will jump in as well: This was the case in my philosophy of language class.

also, don’t know if this is standard policy, but my skepticism teacher offered to do regrades of what the TAs graded, but that his grade was final.

In econ, both Ed Mcdevitt and Ratika Narag had TAs who graded both the midterm and the final…but they looked over the grading and were always available for any questions.

they both are the best profs in the econ dept, dont know if all other profs are as nice and open to questions.

Some of my courses have both TAs and graders. The professor does lecture, the TA does discussion, holds office hours, and grades tests, and the graders grade the homework.
