Who has a better chance?

<p>Two of my friends applied single choice early action to Yale. I am interested in knowing who you feel is more likely to get in. </p>

<p>Applicant A: (Asian male), 5' 10.75'', 163lbs.</p>

<p>ACT: 34 composite
SAT: 2100, 720 M, 690 CR, 690 W
SAT IIs: 670 Math 2, 800 US history
PSAT: 224, national merit semifinalist</p>

<p>GPA: 3.5 weighted (difficult charter school, weight is only +.3 for APS)</p>

<p>Extracurricular activities:
Cross Country (9-12), Varsity (12)
Indoor Track (9-11)
Outdoor Track (9-11)
Civil Air Patrol (10-12) (1st sergeant 12)

<p>Lemme just correct a few of this....misguided....information about the two students. First, both of them are JV XC runners for all 4 years.....or at least at that level. Seniors all get varsity letters for XC no matter how well they ran. Second, Applicant B is closer to 5'8 or 5'9, but certainly not more than 5'10. In addition, he took AP Lang, not AP Lit. He might also be taking AP Spanish. And lastly, Applicant B has more extracurriculars. He volunteers for his church a lot. His family is rich, so he probably doesn't need financial aid either (which does help in this economy). OK, just trying to give all the correct and full facts to ppl who are chancing on this forum. And btw, Applicant A has my confidence for acceptance ;)</p>
