Who has committed?

USC is a really great school and it is certainly one of Tulane’s biggest competitors, right behind Miami (FL) and a couple of others. In fact, this is the first year in a while that I haven’t seen a lot of people asking to compare Tulane and USC.

I committed earlier this evening. :)

I accepted the financial aid offer, but is there anything else I need to do? I saw some posts discussing Tulane email accounts, but I don’t have access to one yet.

You should have one I think. Just write an email to your admissions person confirming your commitment and ask about your Tulane email account.

Congrats and welcome to the family!

cruxclaire- you should have sent in a deposit signaling your intention to enroll.

WoooHoooo! My D finally clicked the YES button to commit! I’m so glad to be done with this part of the process.

cyclone, that’s great! Another really strong class for Tulane, I can just tell.

We paid our deposit, anyone know when the rest of the amount is due? It seems maybe not till August ???

Didn’t get a mail account yet…

I think you actually have until sometime in September, although they certainly prefer the end of August. But sometime in there, that is correct.

I believe it’s due end of September and the next payment is due end of January. Both dates are later than you would expect. If you go to orientation with your student, this will all be explained to you (how to access the bill, etc). If you don’t go, it’s no big deal. Go on your student’s Gibson account (if you have the pw) and click Net Pay.

If you go on their financial aid page, there is also a link for alternative financing options too. You can use Tuition Management Systems to make monthly payments for those of us who can’t come up with a big chunk of money all at once.

Cyclonehome! Welcome! Glad to have you off the fence!

D committed last night! Go GREENWAVE!

Casey - excellent news. So I guess the Honor’s Weekend visit went well?

We are in shock here in South Jersey…DD just enrolled. Woo-hoo!!! Thanks for all the support y’all. See you in August!

FC: Yup, Honor’s Weekend was wonderful!
FC and everyone on CC: Thanks for all the info and support.
Now it’s time for this mama to get over her fear of flying…and fast!
(NOLA is far from LI, NY!!!) :0

mofthree - Outstanding! I know it was a fretful process, and I feel quite confident that she will love the decision she made. Others have said the same on here, but I have to tell you all that my D is also really enjoying NOLA and staying there for the summer to work. A city has to have some real appeal for anyone to stay there in the summer if they don’t have to. It is just plain hot and humid, but still, what a wonderful city in so many ways. I’ll miss having her around more, but I totally understand. It is going to be a little weird when she actually graduates this December.

Thanks FC! we are all very happy and excited (and a little, tiny bit nervous to have her so far away). But honestly, if this board is indicative of the Tulane family (and I think it is) I know she will be supported and thrive. Big. Giant. Sigh.

Tell you D best of luck this summer with her job. Keep us posted on where her path leads her!

Well, you all know me by now. I am not shy about using the “humble-brag” regarding my kids when I need to illustrate a point. I am sure I will find a way to throw in their achievements somehow, someway.

My son put in his deposit today. The attraction of being a music major in NOLA won out over WUSTL, Emory, and Berkeley. He can’t wait for August.

Impressive list! A nice “get” for Tulane. Congrats! I see oysters and crawfish in your future.
