<p>I learned this formula from somewhere and has been wondering if it is true. </p>
<p>It goes: if you take SSAT and SAT within a month and no extra preparation for SAT, your SAT score will be roughly 300 points below your SSAT score.</p>
<p>Today,I learn my son’s SAT score, yes it is almost exactly 300 below his SSAT! </p>
<p>Yup. minus 100 per section seems about right with my son, but he took the SAT at the beginning of 7th grade, if that makes a difference. I’m only thinking of the Math and Critical reading sections. There’s not really an equivalent to the SAT writing on the SSAT, but the CR section has both the reading and vocab that the ssat covers.</p>
<p>i took sat last yr and ssat this year and my scores were very different. 500 point difference. it might be because im not in the grade where most people take the sat</p>
