Who here applied ED?

Sometimes, I wish they wouldn’t even tell us when they will send the emails just so we wont become so fixated in finding out weeks before.

grigg02 -SAME. I have a huge compgov test on monday, an AP Stats chapter test on thursday, a huge Hamlet final on that thursday, and then a physics chapter test on friday. >_>

wow justspice that stinks! :(

justspice & griggs - That’s awful! I’m sorry you’re going to be so distracted.

I have mid term exams Tuesday to Friday next week…

this is the part that entertains me. im sitting in class right now and instead of paying attention, all i can think about is WEDNESDAY!! if i dont get in, i dont know what im going to do ahhhh! this stress is terrible. i would much rather filll out 100 applications then go through this waiting :frowning:
but anyways…
5 MORE DAYS GUYS!

Hey guys, I’m a freshman at NYU and was in your shoes last year at this time. I just wanted to wish all of you the best of luck for Wednesday and onward, and I hope that you all can try to keep your spirits high. These next few days will be long and full of anxiety, but hopefully you can look back on this in a year and laugh. Good luck, everyone, and please feel free to message me if you have any NYU-related questions :)

I’m in the same boat, but for me it’s a shot in the dark. I wish I was from Montana or somewhere…I have average grades in the tri state area, soo only my work experience stands out haha hoping for the best

Ugh, my birthday is on the 13th; I’m trying so hard to not have an email overshadow my eighteenth.

Do any of you know what time on the 15th??

Im an international student living in Dubai.

5PM Eastern Time

LGetsStuffDone thanks a lot!!!
your post was really nice :)

God, that would be awful if I didn’t hear back until the 20th only to find out I got rejected. I hope my e-mail comes on that Wednesday.

I think if I don’t get an email on the 15th, I’ll probably assume that I was rejected. I just don’t understand, if all of the decisions are made, why can’t they send them ALL on the 15th? Once people have been LSP’d, you’d think it would be easy to say who’s in and who’s out.

Will the emails come exactly at 5 PM? I have gymnastics from 5:15 - 7:30 that night, so I have no idea how I’ll be able to get through practice. I could check my email on my phone using the school’s WiFi, but I don’t want to find out in public. I’d feel much safer locking myself alone in my room with my laptop and finding out that way. Anyone else feel the same way?

omg, I got the newsletter today in the mail. I looked at it and just went “…”
I can’t believe I freaked because of that. Oh well, nothing to do now but just wait,

I think they said that decisions will start coming AFTER 5. I know what you mean though, I have to babysit until 6 and I am going to be a nervous wreck. When i get home, I’m going to just lock myself in my room to read the email.

^ I completely agree. Prior to NYU announcing decisions will be released the 15th at 5 PM, I was hoping that my decision email wouldn’t be sent while I’m in school. At home, in the safety of my own room, I feel much more comfortable to express whatever feeling may come to me after my decision. I wouldn’t want to start bawling in school if I were rejected.

I know that both Wash U and Northwestern were supposed to send out emails on December 15, but they came out yesterday and today, respectively. (Unfortunately, my friends who applied ED were deferred and rejected - I’m so sad for them.) Any chance NYU will pull the same sort of stunt and email us early?

same for BU and Tufts
