<p>Returning students. I’d like to know how strong the career offices are.</p>

I went in to look for an internship, but the staffer told me I couldn’t use their services until I took X220. Of course maybe if I talked to someone else they’d tell me differently.

<p>Getting an internship this year would be a bad idea.
Any inernship I would get as a freshman wouldn’t involve much interesting work, just stereotypical intern duties.
And…This is my last opportunity to do real, physical work before entering “my career track”.
So now I’m gonna work as either a roughneck on an oil rig, or for the Bureau of Land Management as a seasonal firefighter or a park-ranger type position.</p>
