Who is "that" dude waving the peace sign?

Hi! I just want to ask: who is the guy on Bruinwalk waving a peace sign around? I’m usually running frantically to class or too chicken to talk to the guy, so…wondering if anyone knows why he’s doing what he’s doing?

Thanks!

P.S. I saw him holding a “UCLA gymnasts are the 1%” but I had no clue what that meant. Anyone care to explain?

always have that question… i should ask him somedayyy

Is he like a bald guy?

Wow, I’ve never seen this guy

His name is Denis. He comes to campus each day from his home near the Innout in Westwood to spread the message of love and compassion.

^I don’t understand though… doesn’t he need a job to pay for housing/food/clothes/etc.? He’s on campus all the time, except at night.

creepy. nuff said

beyphy, you go on reddit as well? Awesome that’s another similarity we have. I am wondering if I happened to walk by you on campus and not realize it was you. We have a lot in common as far as online socializing goes.

I actually used to be more of a Digg person until Digg completely lost its community. But Reddit’s kinda cool, and some of the subreddits are cool too so i’m sort of catching on.

It’s very possible that you have, especially if you’re north campus or study at powell a lot. But at the same time it’s possible that you haven’t. I have friends that i run into only like twice a year. So they’re both real possibilities.

And computer. No housing though, he sleeps on the sidewalk near In N Out. Once I overheard him telling someone that he pays for stuff with welfare. So there you go. (Although this is kind of confusing to me because don’t you need an address to receive welfare?)

Most people I know seem to use Reddit.

Maybe it’s less common in North Campus.

beyphy, I do study at Powell a lot. It’s honestly like my second home. All my friends call me a Powell Ranger and it sort of ticks me but that’s just what I am I guess. I usually frequent the bottom floor by the book stacks more so than the first or second floors. What about you?

^there used to be a CC meet up every year…would be fun to have one in winter quarter

I’m so down for that. It’s about time we meet the faces of the CCUCLA community.

I usually study in the 24 hours studyroom. (although i somewhat fluctuate between Powell and Young.) I’d be down for a meetup as well.
