My guess is the typical CC poster is 40ish ,2 or 3 kids ,one in HS or younger ,1 about to enter college . The other type is a 16-19 year old student who just likes to pose non-academic ,often silly questions or ask CC about some "chance me " topic about a school usually ? What do you think ?

It seems like YOU pose a lot of silly , non-academic questions , and you are not 16-19 !

My son wouldn’t be caught dead on CC. It’s mostly middle aged parents and kids with 2390 SAT’s, perfect GPA’s and discovered the cure for cancer who want to know if they should retake their SAT’s.

Many more students on here than parents. But students don’t tend to stay on as long as parents.

Well, Faux has me described to a T! My guess is there are a lot more parents over here and a lot more kids over on the specific college areas. It amuses me when kids post on the parents site, I wouldn’t dream of posting in their high school life forum. In fact, I have never even looked there.
Now that S has made his college choice, I don’t plan on posting on his college forum unless I have specific questions and clearly identify myself as a parent.
I don’t know if he has ever been on here, I don’t think so. He is just not that type of kid. His little sister is, though, so as she gets closer to college age I may have to censor myself a little and/or throw in a few red herrings.
