My D is still waiting on Hartt as well. She said if she hasn’t heard anything by Monday then she will contact them. She is far more patient than me!

I called Harttl when we are at our Drew visit and told them I was on the east coast and would like to know if she was admitted so we could come and visit. With a bit of grumbling they pulled her file and told me over the phone. My daughter had already decided on Drew before knowing what Hartt’s decision was. Still have not received any formal letter.

We are still waiting on SUNY Purchase. For acting.

still waiting on Hartt…

At this time of year the folks in the admissions offices are working overtime and that means evenings and weekends. If you haven’t heard yet, drop them an email now and you just might hear back over the weekend. Best of luck to all!

Still waiting on Northern Colorado. Sent email. Will end another one today if we haven’t heard.

Point Park has a late audition this year – on April 12. I would guess that’s why there are still people who have not heard. There is also already a FB page for the COPA Class of 2018 with 34 members…which means there must be just a few people left in the decision process since they normally accept 35-40 for MT?

We had two schools call saying we can’t notify you regarding your acceptance into the Conservatory because we’re missing something - one said we only rec’d 2 of the 3 letters of recommendation - another said we lost her transcript so we’ll need you to please send it again. So we jump through hoops and scramble to do as they ask, and THEN they send the letter saying she didn’t get into the MT program. Gee… thanks.

@SpottyMom - we had the transcript thing happen with us last year the first week of April. Sent them again and then received the rejection letter.

Finally have closure (and a rejection) from Ithaca. Happy to say we have now heard from all schools.

Waiting for Point Park only. Not holding our breath on that one, and it’s not even being considered as we are in final decision making mode here. S is doing 2 campus visits this weekend.

We have also heard back from all schools…Point Park was the last…and it was good news!!! We are visiting choices #1, #2, and #3 in the next two weeks…glad all the decisions are in from the schools…waiting on two financial aid final packages…and then decision time for us…ugh, this is soooo hard.

Great news!!

A friend is still waiting on Point Park and Hartt

Still waiting on Hartt

Ok call me crazy for this question!
But has there ever been a situation that anyone remembers where a NO turns into a YES because a school has run out of yes and waitlist kids? And they didn’t hit their desired number and most of the kids they wanted committed to other schools.
Wouldn’t that be a dream come true?

We just had an audition at Sam Houston State University yesterday We are waiting to hear from them

@mommyofactress, yes, I did hear of that happening last year at one school. Someone posted here in CC about it happening to them last year but I cannot remember the school,

It was texas state and not the situation you described mommyofactress! a no turned into a yes for greyhairedman’s son but not because they ran out of yes and wait list people, his son had tons of other offers but he was perfect for a spot that wasn’t filled so Tx state reversed their decision and he is now attending the school.
It’s a dream that never really occurs, last years story is surely an anomaly. Sadly, a no is a no (for that year anyway)

^It was actually UMich. But ultimately greyhairedmans son stuck with his original commitment to Texas State, and did not accept the late offer from UMich.
