Waiting on NYU, Syracuse, and BoCo. Need to see these decisions, get some financial aid packages, and do one visit before D can make a decision. Really ready for this to be done now!

Son will be making his final decision this weekend and he has yet to hear from Point Park. I wonder if these schools care that a long wait for an answer (even if it is a yes) may take them out of the running for some kids.

@entertainersmom I find this whole process overwhelming. I think what is frustrating is I get a call from a certain school telling me a package was going out last week yet to receive anything and now not responding. I dont know if he gave me wrong info and doesnt want to tell me now but I am totally confused.

NewYorkSon - That must be maddening, as if the process wasn’t stressful enough! Is there someone else to talk to?

It is terrible we have been back to running to the mailbox everyday when we didnt anticipate having to look for another few weeks. I know in the whole scheme of things its not a big deal but we had kind of had a plan and then this comes up. Just dont get it they called me about something I didnt even call there. I didnt even ask questions he just started talking to me. Honestly I am back to those sleepless nights again.

Good luck to all waiting for NYU and the 2nd wave of Syracuse today!

Only waiting on one! (BoCo) … D was rejected from NYU and CMU this am. So excited to almost be done with this part. :)

Take heart @NewYorkSon. S’s rejection letter from CCM took two weeks after the “admissions” stamped postmark date to arrive in our mailbox. We live eight miles from the school. I can only assume it sat in a basket somewhere before it ever hit the USPS. Maybe a package “going out” really means, “it’s not on my desk anymore”.

LOL could be. If you could have heard all the details he went over it was crazy nothing has appeared.

I think we’ve covered them all correct?

We still haven’t heard from VIterbo on MT program. If there is nothing in the mail today, I guess she will have to call them.

No we are down to the wait list lets hope everyone who wants a school they are wait listed on they hear really soon.

Hartt, Ithaca and LIU Post hasn’t informed everyone yet. It’s a small number of kids who haven’t heard, but they are still waiting. I think for Ithaca, it might be for Acting, not MT.

My daughter has not heard from Ball State and Hartt.

There are still some waiting on Ithaca for MT.

^my D is still in Ithaca portal limbo land for MT.

Tried to call Hartt, but only got voicemail and didn’t want to leave a message. Sent an email – we’ll see what happens.

kategrizz - that’s a good sign. She’s still in the running.

I wish the MT schools would follow the protocol for NYU. They send out all emails in waves on one day, sending out all rejections first, then following with acceptances. At least students and parents don’t have to see all the I GOT IN posts before the rest of the applicants know their status. Thank you NYU for this great process. Ivy Leagues send out all emails on the same day too. Some of these schools called or emailed acceptances over a month ago and are still slowly sending out rejection letters. I say just rip off that bandaid! We still haven’t heard from one of them…

Still zip from Point Park. Son auditioned in Chicago. Can’t imagine the purpose of waiting this long. Son will be making decision without them.
