West coast-Our garbage bins have to be taken down our long driveway which has a slight incline. My husband brings them down most weeks. Our green waste can is just inside our gate at the bottom so I will sometimes take that out to the street. We take ours down the afternoon before. For years are pickup when our pickup was Tuesday I would often bring them down. Now it’s Monday and my husband does it as part of his Sunday chores. When they got picked up early morning I’d bring the empty ones back up. Now they don’t get picked up till the afternoon. If I’m already home for the day he brings them up. We have a compactor and empty once a week. I usually take it out. I always put the new bag in.
My son has an older neighbor who likes to take his bins to the curb and put them away. She started when he was single and half the time would forget to put out his bins. She also sweeps the sidewalk for him. She has a bit of dementia and also picks up garbage and sweeps the elementary school parkway.
From the other thread the other item was her husband not going in her purse. My mom never let anyone go in her purse. My husband is afraid of my purse. He doesn’t think he can find anything inside.
