90% of the time, H takes out the garbage. It goes out the night before and the truck comes to get it around 4:30 am. I often grab the can and bring it in but H does his share of that too. Our non spoken rule is: if you take the garbage bag out of the kitchen, the other person puts a new bag in the wastebasket. Recycling is a group effort usually as we haul it to a center where we climb up steps to dump it all in a big dumpster bin. Gone are the days when we could take it to the curb.
