Who to address cover letters to?

Sooo I’m sending in my 1st quarter grades and I don’t really know who to address in or really how to begin my cover letter. Should I just write “Dear Admissions Representative,” and go from there, or is there another way to go about doing that?

@OP: You should have your registrar official at your school (the one in charge of transcripts) send it, to make it official. Anything you send yourself cannot be viewed as an official copy, for obvious reasons.

well I was told I should send a copy so how so I address my cover letter?

You probably shouldn’t send it in that case…Penn does not require ED applicants to send transcripts and most likely won’t even take them into consideration (unless you are deferred). Unless your school sends the transcript, I would advise against it.

are you sure? because this quarter I only have As and A+s whereas the past 3 years I had a mixture of those, a good number of A-s and two B+s, so wouldnt it be good to show my improvement?

Sure, it wouldn’t hurt, but I’m just saying your school should send the transcript.

alright thanks

@OP: Yes, I agree with laodicean. Your quarter grades look good (all A’s, after all). However, if anyone but the school sends it, it won’t count (for obvious reasons).
