Who wants to play "name the puppy"?

So we are getting a black goldendoodle puppy in 7 weeks. She is going to be a friend for our cream goldendoodle called “Honey”(DH keeps bees as a hobby!)
Does anyone have an idea for a great name to call her?
So far we haven’t found one we like but it’s always fun to hear other people’s suggestions!
Thanks.

Oh yes I want to play!

Name her BOO BOO!

(Honey, Boo Boo, get it?)

You could call her Sugar.

Buzz

…

Our black labradoodle is now 7 months old. I have renamed her HELLHOUND. Lovable, but an inordinate amount of mischief is afoot. Keep your options open.

Hmmmm. . . something off this list?

If you picked a name that started with a ‘B’, then you could nickname the dog Bee; you’d have a Honey and a Bee.

Winnie … as in Winnie the Pooh who loves honey.

When we brought home our new puppy ten years ago, we named her Sadie. In hindsight, we should have named her Hoover; she sucks up any crumbs that fall to the floor. When I’m cooking, she comes running if she hears me use an expletive as she’s learned that means I dropped something. If she’s upstairs, I’ll call out “clean up in the kitchen!” and she’ll come running then, too. :)

Have fun with your new puppy!

musica… how funny! but then i have a dog named crackhead! if you met her you would understand why!

i have always wanted to name a dog D.O.G> pronounced…deeOHgee

Oh I’m so envious! We have an 11yo cream colored Goldendoodle that is my shadow. She was supposed to be the ‘family dog’ but everyone freely admits she’s totally devoted to me. They thrive on companionship and if I had it to do over we would have gotten litter mates or another within a short time. My gf has Labradoodles from the same breeder that are litter mates and they are very attached to one another. Your doodle with be very happy for the company.

You could keep with the food theme and go with Cocoa, although I also love the suggestion of Winnie (huge A.A. Milne fan!).

parent56 - My DH had a fraternity dog that was named Deeohgee…I kid you not. That dog was treated like royalty.

My “first” dog (actually my grandparents’ dog) was a beautiful black standard poodle named Inky. I thought it was a great name.

2nd vote for Winnie…

If you pick my choice, you could sing to your new baby “Me and you and a dog named Boo.”

my dad’s labradoodle is Taz

blueiguana…see i knew that was a good name LOL

Bazinga- after the new species of bee just identified. Apparently, the scientist was a fan of the Big Bang Theory.

LOVE Bazinga!! Huge fan of BBT but DH said it has to be a name that is not embarrassed to shout out loud in a busy place!
Also like “Inky”.

Winnie or Lily/ Lilly are great suggestions if you wanted to continue the bee theme. Many of the names on this list are represented in my neighborhood:

My daughter named our black puppy Snooki. Gets a lot of laughs when I call her. The name actually fits her- she’s got glossy black fur and is a little goofy and plump.

I’m all for a real dog name. My sister got to name our last dog and she picked the name of her favorite teacher. Somehow calling a golden retriever “Karen” didn’t feel right.

Fun, fun, fun!

Our second dog was named a spanish version of the beloved first dog’s name. We love it and like that it is unique (but also easy to say, spell, and yell).

I looked up french and spanish for honey and they are both “miel” which I don’t think work well for a dog (maybe “mellie” though?). Then, I checked Italian and hit the jackpot:

 1. Tesoro.teh-ZOH-rohHoney (literally means ‘treasure’)2. Piccolina.Honey (feminine, term of endearment, literally ‘pretty little one’)3. Piccolino.Honey (masculine, term of endearment, literally ‘little one’)4. Zuccherino.zook-keh-ree-nohHoney (means ‘little sugar’)5. Dolcezza.Honey (means ‘sweetness’)

How about “Tess” or “Dolce” (dol-chey) or “Dolca” (dol-cha)? Yes, I am procrastinating on my to do list (actually, I am living vicariously - I would LOVE a puppy!). Be sure to tell us what you chose.

^^^I was thinking Molasses - Molly for short.
