Who won the Democratic Debate?

We know that all the pundits have picked their candidates to have “won”.

Let’s start a cc vote.

I was pleaseantly surprised by Joe Biden.

Disappointed with Obama.

Compared with Ding-Dong and the wannabe ding-dongs, they all looked pretty good to me. I thought Edwards was outstanding, and Richardson looked poor. I was very sorry they physically bunched the media favorites in the middle. I thought Obama did what he needed to, which was stand next to Hillary and seem just as capable, and I think we’ll see some poll shifts as a result.

I thought it interesting that so much was made about the cost of John Edward’s haircut, but nothing really said about the cost of Hillary’s …ummmm, facelift.

Botox?

Don’t know, but she looked GREAT!

http://news.bostonherald.com/columnists/view.bg?articleid=1004863

Probably cost a lot more than $400 ! ;)

Well, I should hope so. Health care doesn’t come cheap, and the new look was worth at least 3 or 4 media buys, so actually it was a shrewd bargain.

Now, if McCain could only learn to smile again.

“Now, if McCain could only learn to smile again.”
Watch him tonight. He does smile, but always at the most inappropriate times. Like his smile muscle is out of synch with what he just said.
On the Democratic debate - I think Bob Shrum’s description of Edwards as an overly ambitious phony is spot-on. I think believing that he has a core belief in anything is a mistake. I think Obama did himself the most good, because he seemed at least as impressive as Hillary. Richardson was a major disappointment, which is unfortunate, because I think he has a lot to offer. If a Democrat wins, Mike Gravel should be Secretary of State. How much fun would that be??

The Boston Herald story has been debunked:

Drudge-Flacked Story In Newspaper Reverses Hillary Photos To Make It Look Like She Had “Work” Done

http://electioncentral.tpmcafe.com/blog/electioncentral/2007/jun/05/drudge_flacked_story_in_boston_herald_reverses_hillary_photos_to_make_it_look_like_she_had_work

Still, a big so what?

Well, you DO realize, don’t you, that the issues plaguing Americans in choosing their candidates has to do with haircuts, facelifts, who is having an affair with whom, who inhaled back in college, whose spouse is ill, etc.? Get with the program!!! :D

And what does Bob Shrum have to do with “who won the debate?”

Soozie:

Yeah, I do know. I know people who voted for JFK because he looked “cute” and that Nixon’s TV performance cost him votes. When buying books don’t judge them by their cover, but when judging candidates for office, appearances trump substance.
At least, now that Edwards has gotten flack for his $400 haircut, Hillary’s hairdos no longer attract attention!

I think this means the Rupublicans won the Democratic debate :)
