WHOA! SAT II scores already?!

I took the the january SAT IIs for MIT, and I checked my application status online 5 minutes ago, and it says that they already have the testing requirements. Do the schools that you request to receive your scores(those 5 schools that you send reports to for free) get the scores automatically?! I’m sort of scared because I’m afraid that they are basing this test score requirement on unofficial scores that may have gone with my transcript, and these scores are 60 points lower than my new ones…

If you list schools to receive free score reports, yes, they are sent automatically after the scores are available, you do not have to request (nor pay for) those score reports. MIT will use your best scores from an official score report, not those printed on a transcript, in your evaluation. And if your MyMIT says your scores are complete and Jan. was the first time you took the SAT IIs, then it sounds as if they have those new Jan. scores.

As it may or may not surprise you to learn, ETS is not actually as slow as they like to pretend they are to cover up their incompetence.

I know that for the GRE, scores are sent in batches electronically to schools twice a month. I assume the same is true for the SAT.
