<p>I objectively analyzed my chances.</p>

<p>Good stuff:

  1. Female engineering applicant
  2. Relatively high SAT I score (2330)
  3. International student not asking for financial aid
  4. Been through academic adversity (?)</p>

<p>Bad stuff:

  1. Bad ECs
  2. Mediocre essays and interview
  3. Bad rec
  4. Being Asian</p>

<p>So yeah.</p>

  1. Legacy
  2. Leadership roles
  3. Pretty good ECs
  4. Pretty good essays and recommendations (I think)</p>

<p>Bad stuff:

  1. SAT I/II scores
  2. GPA (I’m not sure what is considered a “good” GPA, but I have a 3.83)
  3. Being Asian
  4. SATs again. I am so ridiculously self-conscious about those.</p>

  3. Good ECs, lots of business experience
  4. Lots of leadership roles</p>

  1. WHY ARE WE ALL ASIAN.
  2. Interview went okay, imo.
  3. Bad SAT II scores… >:

<p>I forgot that I didn’t take the SAT II physics exam and have a rather pathetic class rank. Meh. Hope they’re gonna see how I fought back after GETTING that ridiculous GPA when I arrived in the United States 2 years ago.</p>

<p>And obviously we are all Asian because Asians are awesome.</p>
