@maani - they probably will in a couple of days. no rush…i’m more worried about my financial aid confirmation email which they “promised” to send

@All: I think I read in a Q & A with Eric Fruda that they finish usually 3-4 days in advance and then they review the decisions to make sure they are all accurately loaded into the portal.

Hopefully the server doesn’t lag when we try to check our results…

since laodicean started it, what’s you guys’ favorite music/artist/song?

@hardworking21 - so there’s little chance that they “accidentally” dropped a rejected applicant’s file into the admitted one. lol

My absolute favorite artist in the entire world is April Smith and the Great Picture Show. She’s quirky and perfect. Check her out. Actually, I’ll make it easy for you.

<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube;

It’s very possible that you cannot see that.

Also, I sobbed hysterically when I saw the page update that says December ninth at five PM. 'Twas nice knowing you guys.

What would be horrible is if they gave an admitted applicant the reject letter by accident. Even worse, if they gave a rejected applicant an admit letter by accident.

@laodicean- I was thinking: what if a person got accepted via the portal, but he/she actually didn’t get in so Penn had to say “sorry you got that, but we actually don’t want you…” THAT would be the wooooorst.

@EmPaige21 - Penn actually did that to some people a couple of years ago. That would be the worst thing in the world - getting your happiness taken away with one big mistake.

LSM here! anyone else LSM besides freerhyme?

so I have a chorus concert on the 9th at 7:00 pm…
that means that at 5:00 I’ll only be able to access my decision on my phone
surrounded by choir queers who will see the blatant despair on my face if I am rejected

so…to upload the decision with them…or to upload it at around 10:00 with my parents at home…

@crazypluto, I don’t think there are any other prospective LSMers on CC besides you and me. Man, what I would do to be a vag.

maani942, why don’t you ask your parents to look it up for you and call you during choir to tell you the decision? It will take the stress off, if you were to do it on the phone.

i’ll be checking my decisions after tutoring my peers which i do every friday afternoon. i feel that it’d be awfully selfish to abandon them to check my decisions. I know doing so won’t affect decisions, but karma can be pretty brutal.

@maani94: i think you should wait until you get home. i mean yeah, it would be awesome to find out you got in so you can celebrate around your choir buddies. but what if you don’t get in? then it’ll just ruin your mood, which is not something you want before you perform. hopefully we get in : ) but just to be safe…i would NOT open it around other people RIGHT before a concert.

LSM right here! And I wouldn’t want it to be accept than reject, but I would love a rejection than an acceptance a week later. :)

Cry cry cry cry cry.

I applied ED to CAS and I am so excited because I just found out about the December 9th announcement. AHHH How am I supposed to focus on school now???

1) What is your favorite aspect of Penn?

How it is so interdisciplinary, amazing, and just everything.

2) Did you visit campus? What did you think of it?

Yes I did. Visit 1-didn’t like it (was with the parents so that might have something to do with it)… Visit 2- LOVE (i went alone and visited a philosophy class. amazing.)

3) Least favorite part about Penn?

December 9th at 5PM…

4) You want to go there mostly because… it is where I want to be at school for the next four years!

5) The first thing you’ll do if you find out you got in!

Cry. scream. do my housing forms :)

O and on a scale of 1 to 10 that would have to be a…100

Oh god, December 10th is ONLY 10 days away!
ARGH! I won’t be able to concentrate on anything… but I should do my Regulars…

Hope we all get in! =)

Could you imagine getting accepted, telling everybody how happy you are, withdrawing all your other applications, then a few days later finding out it was a mistake? That would be HORRIBLE!

December 9th. :)

Have you guys sent all of your RD applications out already? I haven’t cuz I want to hear back from Penn first.
