<p>I just watched a youtube video about Michael Jackson’s connection to the music of sonic 3, when I should be writing a research paper.</p>
<p>North has awesome food, that’s all I know. And I’m jealous of all of you T_T wish I could be complaining about housing, lol.
2 more job opportunities in addition to the one I have an interview for, so yay. No time to write any app essays because of finals week, which is annoying.</p>

<p>hi ironic! No I wasn’t at transfer day…I actually have no idea what that is/was not invited. lol. So basically, I had a GT, and went to UNC chapel hill for a year. I actually liked it a lot but really missed home. So I transferred to Hofstra for a semester, and decided to go through with the transfer. As for housing, I’m hoping for west, according to what friends have recommended to me. But if I don’t get that, I’ll make it work, you know? I joined the fb group and am so excited for orientation!</p>

<p>Haha, actually, you weren’t too far off with the finals. But it varies from teacher to teacher. For one guy, it was you had one class period (8 hours) to draw the entire room using a panning perspective, 360 degrees, perfectly. A lot of teachers insist on huuuuge, wall-spanning drawings. Basically, they’re just really labor intensive. But the finals that I’m actually worried about are the 3 academic ones (1 chem midterm, 1 chem final, 1 psych final).</p>
<p>Actually I have an appointment set up for me on Tuesday to discuss my application with Cornell. I have a hunch on what they’re going to say (you have an art background). I want to say that I have confidence for the 2nd round, but I really don’t xD. We’ll see what Cornell says. My boyfriend keeps getting mad because I keep contemplating life at other schools out of fear, lol.</p>

<p>Looking at the facebook group and seeing most people saying they are roommateless/suitemateless, I have a feeling it is a flaw in the system. The odds of all of you getting put in doubles/suites that have no one else is very slim, because the only people allowed out of there leases are those who are studying abroad/graduating early. I cannot really see an entire suite doing that the same semester… But anything is possible I guess, however, I am guessing you are all being put with random people that had a roommate leave (if in a double).</p>

<p>BTW, I forgot to answer your question in the Emory thread: The only two materials which haven’t been completed for my application are my current semester grades and my hs transcript. They’ll eventually realize that my hs transcript requirement has been waived and the current semester grades can’t actually be sent in until this semester is over (they request an actual transcript with the grades from this semester’s classes, rather than just a mid-term report like Cornell.) I think my decision should be in pretty soon because of that.</p>
<p>I think that’s the case too, hermanns, it’s probably just that no one can <em>view</em> their roommates as of right now. I think the same thing happened in the fall thread too, where everyone was like ‘im in a double!..but my roomie isnt listed!’ and then like, the next day they were on. We’ll see, I also asked Sandy Davenport the same question in the email. She probably won’t get back to me until Monday, though…maybe if I’m lucky, tomorrow. I asked whether there was actual space in Emine’s suite or not. I know I definitely don’t want a double in a gothic (or anything in a gothic), but I may accept a single if they have one on West or end up sticking with Schuyler (the latter being very doubtful.) How long do any of us here have until you’ve sold off your room, hermanns?

<p>Water, I’ve got 3 people that are solidly interested, but as of now all have situations preventing them from immediately being able to sublet from me, but I would say within the next 1 1/2 weeks everything should be resolved. I certainly prefer to have this taken care of before I leave on the 17th (possibly even the 16th at night), as I will be going home to florida for break and then to california next semester. Obviously if it was still available at that point I could do the paperwork through scanning and emailing/faxing, but I really hope it does not come to that. Without question, you are getting ripped off if you pay the cornell single room rate for a room in Schuyler. I will PM the details about the people I share the apartment with.</p>

the actual room/apartment itself is also well taken care of, clean, and homey. </p>
