Who's applying for Spring transfer 10'-Cornell?

You guys are shoe-ins  and LOLLLL to east/valvsu for that. Calpoly definitely one ups me on his acceptance, without a doubt.

Water!!! Congrats bud!!! We are officially CALS bros for life. I too ran up to my mailbox after seeing something large and white from my car. My friend drove up right as I opened the envelope and as soon as I read “Congratulations,” I jumped onto him screaming with joy. Obviously, after applying to Cornell three times, I was VERY pleased reading this decision.

I flew into Ithaca yesterday. The campus, for those of you who have not yet visited, is absolutely stunning. I had never seen it until today, and let me assure you, Cornell is one of the most beautiful colleges (places for that matter) in the entire world.

I also went into the financial aid office and they haven’t processed my package yet. A secretary told me that most packages will come out in early December. A junior student that I was speaking with told me this semester she didn’t receive her fin aid package until the middle of September (a full month in). She followed that by saying “Cornell is extremely slow at processing anything…” so for all of you still waiting to hear your decisions, keep that in mind.

Also, I want to seriously emphasize a point. If you happen to get rejected for spring semester transfer, REAPPLY. Don’t give up on your dream. I think admissions committees respect an applicant that is both determined and possesses the humility to apply more than once.

And with that I think I’ve just FB friended you, calp. Unless someone else goes to Cal Poly haha.

What did you do deposit wise, dude? Did you send it in already or do you wait until the FA package gets out? I just asked Lacey about housing and how to go about doing it too.

i’ll be back at cornell on friday! if you’re still there… hit me up :)

and i would love my decision (…acceptance lol) before then so i can go there and officially call it MY school without sounding like a ■■■■■■ and having to be like “oh, well… i applied… so maybe?” after it when people ask me what my major is.

waterrrrrrr, don’t forget about us CC kids now that you have your acceptance in hand. and go to housing.cornell.edu and just click on apply for housing using your netid. as for deposits, isn’t there a time limit to send it in?

and definitely take a printer. i already have an unopened one waiting until i move away to college from last year.

east that’s just mean. i know you have A’s and A+'s, and live in GA.

'Cause it’s A and A+ in 4.00
Baby you got the keys (to get in)
Now shut up and drive drive drive
Shut up and drive drive drive (to Cornell)

lol that’s true. I didn’t consider that ppl would ask me many times to print something for them, but aren’t there public printers in the labs? How much do they charge per page?

I would never forget you guys, I’ll check back often enough because I CAN’T not know how everyone’s fate ends up. Acceptance, GT, or Rejections, I’ll be there for you guys!

And I didn’t get a NetID in the package  Do I have to send my deposit in first? Or is my app ID my netID?

pretty sure you can use your appid. plus your netid becomes your appid minus the app10 part eventually i’m pretty sure, unless they sent you a separate one.

yeah u need to send the voucher and the deposit to get the net ID. If you are not waiting for the fin aid letter, you should do it right away. However, u should be able to apply for housing already (with your applicant ID)

Okay, thanks guys! I’ll do the app ID for housing, then I think I’m paying for the deposit myself, so I’ll get that.

Water, (Mr. Cornellian!) I used my appID to register for housing. We’re getting our Nets in early Dec.
If you have problems logging onto housing, call the helpdesk…they’ll enroll you and walk you thru the beginning.
Where would you like to live??

Definitely west campus for spring. So what should I click? Do you think we have a better selection on which west houses we want (I mean not right away obviously but…)

Congrats buddy! I knew you would make it in.

what happens if we dont get the fin aid letter before december 1st? (according to the website, we would have to let you if we are attending or not)

Congrats Water!

This thread is on a roll! Hope more acceptances come this week!

thanks again, guys. I’m beaming, haha. We’re 5/5, let’s keep it going folks! ;D

CONGRATS WATER! yeah we basically all knew you’d get in but i’m sure it does feel great to know once and for all!

would you happen to remember when your app was forwarded for review?

Water, I know you sent in your midterm reports after both valvsu and I, so maybe they’re evaluating multiple-time applicants first (plus community colleges who have transfer agreements with Cornell and GTs, based on who has been accepted so far) o.O? Maybe it’s easier for them since they already have some of your stuff on file. I wish I knew. But I’m going insane sitting here contemplating (I just hope I hear back before I leave Rhode Island for Thanksgiving break). I’m very glad for the release of new video games (Left 4 Dead 2, yay!).

I handed in my app dead last right on the due date, so it has nothing to do with application received. I think they probably had kept mine in the ‘probable’ pile because I already had been accepted once, they just needed to see that I finished my pre-reqs and was doing alright this semester. I now refuse to finish without 3 As and a B+ in chem or higher! I’ll make sure that re-acceptance was not in vain.

Yeah, I imagine every spring with a GT has already been notified and accepted, then I’d imagine most NY students have heard back? But it’s probably mostly because they knew like me and calpoly already.

You’re time will come, dear Azu :S haha. I heard Dragon Origins is fantastic, I can’t wait to get my 360 this x-mas (I have to buy it myself, though. Oh well.)

Az is probably right. It is highly possible that they started reviewing ours not a long time ago. So we may hear back in Dec. as well.
