Who's applying for Spring transfer 10'-Cornell?

its okay we had a pop quiz  so i’m slightly satisfied… lol… have you received your mail today yet jemma?

I haven’t checked the mailbox yet :(. But I saw the mailman like 30 mins ago. I’m nervous. When did u submitted ur application? When it was forwarded for review?

so sorry that there are more rejections today :(:frowning::frowning: -patpat everyone-

Man, a lot of upsets in these last two days. I’m really sorry guys.

I submitted it on the day off… and I was missing some stuff apparently the first few days after so yeah
but Northwestern is still accepting spring 2010 applications for those who didn’t apply anywhere else…

I think a lot of us are all app’d out at the moment, but thanks for the suggestion.

sorry to the guys who got bad news today hugs

stryke, you have to decide if your school will offer you more opportunities to improve your app during the next semester while you work on new ones. if you think you could have the same research/recs/ECs at a school closer to home (because i’m sure you’ll keep your grades high), then you should go somewhere that will make you happy. if you think your app will be stronger if you stay at RPI, then i say stay strong and continue there because you already have relationships with profs who can hook you up with some leadership positions or write even better recs for you next time around. i know it’s a hard decision and i’m sorry that you have to go through it, but i know you’ll make the right choice.

The reason I wouldn’t want to transfer out for a semester and then send applications to other places is because if that doesn’t work out, then I might be stuck at a place where I’m not getting the academic challenge that I want. RPI has a very challenging computer science program, and I really wouldn’t want to settle for less. It’s a shame that I don’t like it here.

I don’t really know if I’ll have any extra things to add to my application if I decide to apply to Cornell again. I mean, that application is due March 15th and it’s already almost December. School gets out in a month, and that gives just one month when we get back to get involved in something. I just don’t like how things around here work and I doubt I’d be able to get involved in research that quickly, especially given how things here work.

If I want to ask Cornell what was wrong with my application, or what I could improve, should I call them up (if so, who?) or can I email them?

And really sorry to everyone who got denied admission today. It sucks :(.

it really does suck… i’m so jaded right now, thinking if I should drop out to CC and maybe do a TAG program to UCSD/UCLA :/

Well got rejected  No biggie. I applied to Emory and Vassar too (although Vassar is a crapshoot) Hopefully, I’ll get accepted to at least Emory. Still, I’ll check here everyday to see who got it or not. Best of luck to everbody :D

Seriously, what is going on right now?

Et tu, Jemma?

NO

i know, jemmaaaaaaaaaa our movie nights and cooking sessions are still happening. if you end up at vassar, you’re coming to long island and staying with me  so these things can go down

stryke, you should call and make an appointment with a transfer advisor. if you can go in person, bring copies of your essays and your application and sit with them and have them go over it with you. over the phone you can do the same thing, but you won’t be able to guarantee that they’ll pull up your entire file and you might end up explaining things and getting frustrated (that happened to me).

hey you should all add me on facebook: “michael anton tracy.”

east, how is ur status in the opus thingy of Emory?? I have my all of my essay and signature changed to completed.

Ironic, Omg!! yes!! the movie and cooking nights will happen  I hope I get accepted at Vassar  That would be the greatest option. Although I would easily as happy if I get accepted at Emory. :D

lol i just facebook friended east, he was the hardest to find. :P

Well the last name kind of gives it away. I should change the picture so that its visible to everyone though.

And Jemma, I’ll check momentarily. I really thought you were going to get in.

edit: only two of my materials have been completed.

I got rejected today.

you think i’m giving up on u?? ur wrong! i still love u dearly and i’m gona work even harder for u.

See you in the Fall, Cornell. :)

CAS is a mystery. No prob. Cornell will be sorry, as soon as they find out that when I become the President of the USA!! Then they’ll give me a honorary Phd and my speech will be like: “Thanks for the award. Now, if you would have only accepted when I applied…I dedicate this to all of those applicants who were unfairly rejected. LONG LIVE THE REJECTED KIDS!” Smile and leave the stage. Then I’ll make it official that only me can approves who gets in to CAS. BWUAHAHAHAHA. lol sorry guys temp insanity due to mild rejection discomfort.

Well off to celebrate  I may not have gotten in, but I made grt friends. I’m sure I’ll be accepted at the other two. CHEERS =)

Sorry to hear that, zii. Well I think we know how the admissions/rejection process works now. I’m not liking this at all.

I think the admission’s process just works like this… CAS= no body gets in
