Who's better?

Can anyone rank these universities/colleges for biological sciences, please?

McGill
U of T
Carleton College
UBC

At the undergraduate level, except for Carleton College which I really do not know, I don’t think there’s any major differences academically between the three canadian universities you listed. As I’ve said to others: what else are you looking for in your university experience?

Did you mean Carleton University in Ottawa? Carleton College is in Minnesota.

McGill, U of T and UBC are all tops while Carleton University would be a second tier school. I personally found Ottawa to be a nice but sleepy city.

If s/he put Carleton College I’m guessing the one in Minnesota.

yeah, carleton college in MN.

Carleton College is a small LAC and would provide a totally different experience than McGill/U of T, UBC (different too from Michigan, UCLA etc.). It would be in a completely different category, not necessarily better. It would depend on the type of environment you are looking for.

well, I’m primarily interested in academic quality of school that I’m going to,not environment.

Then you might as well roll a die. Quality of instruction at undergraduate level-wise, I doubt there’s any significant difference between McGill, U of T or UBC. Carleton College is a tiny thing with 2000 students (maybe about twice the number of students registered in the BIOL 200 class at McGill). So if you’re looking for personal attention from your instructors, go to Carleton College. If you’re an independent learner, consider picking one of the Canadian universities.

okay.Thank you for info.
