I’m just curious if anyone is planning on Math 103 being their last math class. I’ve been contemplating it because as it is, I don’t think I’m going to be working on the requirements for my music major until next fall.

This semester:
Chem 21
FOCUS courses, one of which is a music course

Next semester:
Math 103
Spanish 63
Chem 22
Bio 26

Maybe I should do summer school or something to get rid of Music 65 and 114?

I think I might take Math 104, but that’s it. I don’t need more math, and I’m planning a major/minor/certificate combination, so I don’t want to take more classes than I have to.

Music majors are strongly encouraged to take Music 65 freshman year, so it should definitely be included.

hmm… whats the minimum math requiement… is it possible to just do math 41 and be done with it? im thinkin a major in econ/poli sci

(im international, and dont know much about the american system…)
thanks in advance…

yeah, i would like to take music 65 this year, but i don’t really have room. taking it next semester would be way too much with two sciences, wouldn’t it? And I don’t think I can overload with an entire credit this semester since I’m doing FOCUS, which happens to be arts-based. Hmm…

Econ BA: Math 31&32 (Math 41), Statistics 101 or 103
Econ BS: Math 103 and 139, Statistics 103; Math 104, 111, 131, and 139 encouraged
Poli Sci: none required, I think

thanks… is there a sitw which gives you the req’s for a particular major?

How expensive is summer school? Just a random question…

I’m thinking classes to take next semester and I pretty much was thinking the same as seahorse…Chem 22, Bio, Math 103, and then my seminar…but I’ll have the last enrollment window and I’ll probably get chem, my seminar, and then have to take other random stuff, the way it looks. Gah.

I actually wanted to take 103, 104 and I forgot what the number is but its the one on elem differential equations. I like math a lot and had wanted to take at least up to this level in college, though Im not minoring in it cuz I fear theoretical (proof) mathematics after having taken it at a summer program and failed it. lol

oh btw, anyone know if 103X is offered in the Spring, and if 104 or 104X is offered during the Summer? Thanks

math 103 is just the beginning
