So for those of you who got accepted, are you gonna go?

without a doubt

If I get into Amherst and it’s cheaper - no.

Otherwise - yes.

A friend got in, but is going to Middlebury instead (so far).

kdanieli, why do you always refer to yourself as “a friend”. We all know its you!

kdanieli started this thread a while ago: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=336448

lol…

Since you got into Brown, can you please post your stats, Thanks

SoCalBum

Sorry mojojojo69. I never refer to myself as “a friend,” as that would be psychotic.

None of the transfers I’m talking about here is me. I took an honors course at a local community college and I have several friends who are transferring to 4-year colleges. They’'ve been admitted to Cornell, Columbia, Siena, Binghamton, Bates, Brown, Colby, Middlebury, Tulane, Mt St. Mary’s, Stony Brook, Harvard, Vassar, Wesleyan, Baruch, NYU, Swarthmore, and more.

I have a BS and an MBA. See bottom of this page: http://kdanieli.com/id1.html

It’s not me. :)

So have you met Cindy? :)

oh, so all this time u have been asking about admissions information…it was all for friends? you got some lazy friends!!! lol

Thanks for watching and evaluating. I’m sure it’s very valuable to everyone here.

kdanieli - where’d you get your bachelor’s degree?

Boston University

sweet just interested given where you got your MBA.

I think it’s on that page he linked to btw.

So I’m still looking at $32,000 in loans for two years, which is more than my mother makes in a year and almost as much as my father makes. I’m still very unhappy with that package. Ridiculous.

My BU profs thought I’d like Kellogg, suggested that I apply there, and gave me good recommendations, (I guess.)

BU was a lot harder than Kellogg, btw.

BU didn’t hand out As and didn’t even hand out Bs. If you worked hard at BU, you’d probably get a B. If you worked really hard and really didn’t get almost anything wrong, and did all the extra work, you’d earn an A. A few things wrong and you could easily get marked down to an A- (3.7) The existence of the A- option for professors makes it hard to get close to the 4.0.

My BU undergrad GPA was slightly above 3.8 and that put me in the top 1%. In many schools the top 2-5% (more?) would have a 4.0…and a 3.8 would put you at top 15-20% of class. Not at BU - only 5 people in my SMG graduating class of over 600 people class had a GPA higher than 3.8.

renix, so this is ur brown package of 35 gs in loans? ouch, dont take it!! too much!!

well, about 16 in federal loans and 16 in family contribution (which really means more loans)

I found out one good piece of information: the average debt at graduation from Brown is around 18k…but that figure DOES NOT INCLUDE the FAMILY CONTRIBUTION portion of the bill!!
