hey i’m am international applicant from a small city called ras al khaimah in uae. my sats were 1760- first try, and 1940-2nd try. sat subject tests-math level2 780, physics 730. I’ve applied to the foll-
uc berkeley
ucla
ut austin
texas a&m
stanford
cornell
purdue
michigan ann arbour.
which ones do u think i could expect a positive response from?

my extracurriculars include- dance performances, piano exams, table tennis matches, throwball wins, and poem writing too.
I also worked part time at the speech and language therapy center as an assistant to the therapist.
I was one of the organisers of the go green campaign in school, organising surveys, putting up posters, conducting a beach clean up drive and a seminar by the officials of the environmental dept. of the city.

Grades/class rank is the most important factor. Without those, no one can give you any real idea. Also breakdown of SAT scores. A 1940 will make several of those school unlikely unless there’s a language issue.

SAT- 1940, CR- 580, WR-650, MATH-710
class rank in 9th grade- 4/94
class rank in 10th grade- 11/89
class rank in 11th grade- 7/45
ranks aren’t too great but i’m from a cbse school and my class had a lot of competition.
PS: i have great recommendations

You’d have good chances at the public schools.

Good Luck!

You seem to be strong in the math and science area because you have a good math score on the SAT I and nice subject tests scores. You also have a good range of extracurriculars. I think that if you’re applying for a math/science related subject, the extracurriculars will be a good boost to your application for some of these colleges.

i’m applying for electrical and computer engineering.
ohh n i got into texas a&m ![]()
it was my safe bet along with purdue.
hope i get into better ones.

Also, does anyone know how long the university of purdue takes to send out the admission decision. i know its rolling but how long should i expect it to take?
