My family was in the shoe business, I love really nice shoes, and I wear flats 95% of the time. If I wear a heel, it’s fairly low, or it’s a wedge. But as for pointy toes - if you’re buying them right, the point doesn’t start until past the point where your toes are at, so it doesn’t compress your toes at all. But that only works if you have small or average feet (like I do) and you can “handle” having the shoe go extra long. A woman with a size 10 shoe would have a harder time.
