I still get exasperated by the constant requests for “chances” at “HYPS” that won’t accept the patient, generic refrain of “Yes, you have a chance; no, you don’t have a good chance, because nobody does.” I can only afford so much magnanimity to youth when an OP begins to sound like a puppy or toddler asking the same question over and over again hoping for a different result. I usually have to stop myself from saying that the OP obviously lacks the maturity and critical thinking skills necessary for admission to any college.
People say we are mean, but OPs are as mean as the ones who reply.
Speaking as the person who closed the thread, it would be helpful if members would flag a post if they suspect a repeat offender. I don’t read every single thread on these boards (some just don’t personally interest me, nor is there enough time in the day even if they were all enthralling), but I, or another moderator, will respond to any reports.

I think one reason is that sometimes people don’t have anything to do (or maybe have stuff to do but just don’t have motivation at the moment), so they spend a few hours on college confidential trying to trolI. I’m guilty of this too. So please watch anime
