why are people whining about grades?

get over yourselves, please. What do you want us to tell you? Get smarter?

Yeah! Stop whining about your grades. I mean I don’t come on here and ***** about how I took that Chinese Politics class with that really weird chinese dude professor guy. And how 100% of our grade was the final because he thought it would be nice and all. Then he graded really arbitrarily and basically didn’t give any feedback and gave really vague essay topics and he finally just gave me an A- which is NOT AN A. It’s so not fair!!!111 I studied so hard for that class anyway!

Wait…

but I thought grades were a reflection of how good a person you were and how the rest of your life will turn out…

Actually, grades are used in a formula derived from schrodinger’s wave equation to calculate your life expectancy…

I’m surprised myself, I don’t remember this being like that at the end of last semester.

Maybe it’s the new trend among college students?

that’s what I thought, that it’s a sign of the new generation – a wave of kids who grew up on different cartoons and were exposed to different values regarding work evaluation (heavy emphasis on grades), etc.

yeah, they should all be forced to watch Yogi bear like I did.

forced? ***? nobody forced ME :stuck_out_tongue: :P

Acme Hour on cartoon network, boomerang, OLD nickelodeon… not that crap they call cartoons nowdays

exactly! Flintstones, meeting the Flintstones…

LOL with Rosy O’Donnell as Betty

Oh my gosh, I got all A’s and one A- this semester (and I only missed it by .0000000000001!), my life is going to be ruined!!! I think the school will probably kick me out if I can’t improve next semester so I’ll have to go work at McDonald’s for the rest of eternity!!! Actually, McDonald’s will probably turn me down for my low academic record!!! OMG, WHAT SHOULD I DO, HELP ME!!!

I’m so glad there’s a thread to rant about this now. The first few didn’t surprise me so much, but the next 1000000 that followed started to get a little annoying.

BTW, Bugs Bunny and the Roadrunner were my favorites. And My Little Pony Tales…

I watched all of the good oldie cartoons (Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, OLD Nick), so hopefully I’ll be different from the grade-grubbers when I head off to college in a few years.

I hate cartoons nowadays…x_x

Cartoon Network totally went downhill after they started that Ed, Edd, and Eddie ***** and that stupid Courage the Cowardly Dog crap

OMG, I LOVED My Little Pony Tales!

although I think that was the defining event of my early childhood that pushed me towards homosexuality

I totally understand the frustration of being .04 or less away from an A or B or C. Really! I either want an outright A- or an outright A. I don’t want a damn grade sitting on the fence (which I almost had happen in 2 of my 4 classes this semester.) It’s plain annoying.

“All kids out of the pool!”
I blame my failure at life starting back at those late-night swims. Or maybe it was because my pre-tween nights were spent waiting for the midnight run?
Hmmm

Thank God for sane people!!!
I can’t stand it too when people go all whining over a stupid A- or a “lowly” B+!
