hahaha…

I don’t understand how the adcoms will know if you are low-income. I fall into the <40K category but I didn’t indicate anywhere on my application that I was.

…would they get that information from the CSS PROFILE?

ha! That’s the best post I’ve read yet.

my favourite bit from the incredibles goes sth like ‘and when everyone’s super… then nobody will be.’ yeah. mr incredible: ‘they just keep finding new ways to celebrate mediocrity’

which post were you talking about netshark?

statics,

I don’t think it’s sick on my part, obviously you can’t read yourself objectively because I don’t think it’s a far-fetched interpretation. What did it in for me was “This initiative could’nt have come at a BETTER time” – I mean that sounds pretty self-centered to me, it’s like you care more that you’re going to get accepted rather than low-income families actually getting something they deserve…

Also, by the picture you painted (and you did it yourself by the way), you definitely make it seem like you’re going to get in, so don’t even try to pull off the innocent “I’m just hoping for good news”.

Sick? Please. Bitter? I’m not bitter, if anything you’re bitter because you’re rubbing it in our faces that because we’re not poor we should be infinitely more qualified.

Also Statics, how about the post when you were like “My interviewer cried twice and told me i was the best in 30 years, is this good?” I mean please, can you rub it in anymore? This is why I get the impression of you being a very contrived person.

i deserved to be just as insecure as some people in this process.</my>

<<far-fetched>>It’s beyond far-fetched to the point of imaginary. Again I emphasized that’s only your eccentric interpretation of what I’ve painted. It’s a subjective matter and there’s no way you can make it objective.</far-fetched>

Hah, don’t talk to me about being self-centered. I’m not the one going around judging and evaluating people’s chances.

<<bubchub, ap=“” physics=“” junior=“” year=“” is=“” pretty=“” standard–please=“” don’t=“” be=“” so=“” braggadocious.=“”>> I’m not the one posting pseudo-intellectual post to make up for my inadequacy. You used too many big words in colloquial situations that are often unneccessary. And if you’re going to use big words, spell it right. It’s braggadocios which is a noun, which you also use grammatically incorrect.</bubchub,>

<<ritzbitz, i=“” would=“” put=“” washu=“” and=“” williams=“” in=“” ur=“” reach=“” column.=“”>> Who are you to judge other people like you know them your whole life?</ritzbitz,>

You’re just as if not more self-centered!</you>

This is turning nasty, people…let’s preserve what sense of community we have and just let it rest. You’re both well-qualified candidates who want to go to Harvard. Common ground right there.
