so tell me why are you more special than the rest of the EA pool? Are you anticipating an acceptance letter?

I’m a good person.

I haven’t posted a chances thing yet, nor on my ■■■■■■■ thing do I list anything personal (just put up standardized test scores).

I’m just kind of scared that admissions officers read this, I’ll tell you after I find out my decision. not that you care…

I have recorded all 24 of paganini caprices and all 6 ernst polyphonic studies and have sent them in

How about the static.s answer the question first and then we answer it? :)

hmmm, well, we’re all special in our own little way. sigh, i learned many lessons from Barney back in the day.

even if there are admission officers reading this, why would it matter? They are very professional about their position and nothing they will read online will influence their opinion or decision.

Hey guys, quick question:
What is the acceptance rate (in %) for EA?

last yr 23.4% :)

oh my! lol ok…my day got better…somewhat

that’s a lot…compared to MIT’s 14%

i’m famous

I’m the original gangsta. Fo’ shizzle.

og uber?

I am normal/sane/AZN!!!

lol is that what makes you special?

statisoliuqoy,

If I were an admissions officer and i read what you said on this forum, I would consider changing my mind on your application. I remember you writing something along the lines of denigrating all poor people who haven’t made something for themselves, and how you were going to get into Harvard because you were poor and you actually did something in high school (you overcame disadvantage and got good AP scores etc.).

I don’t know, you sounded really nasty when you said that–I felt a little put off. So yes that’s why I don’t like to discuss my “hooks” because then they just sound really contrived, like I don’t really care about them.

oh st.coleridge. it’s almost christmas, don’t be bitter. I have never “denigrate poor people who havent made something of themselves.” Maybe that’s what you got from my post, but that’s your interpretation and I can’t help what other people formulate through their own sick mind. So if you can, directly cut and paste what i’ve said so I can see for myself.

i even took the privilege to find the post you might be talking about. This is what I’ve said:

"i applied to H for the sole reason of the 40K initiative.

Fizsimmon wrote, “it’s significantly more rare to find a student from a <40k income household who has an application that can stand up to the rest of the applicant pool.”
-I’m so happy that this is true because although I’m poor, living with two parents who completed high school level education (my mom didn’t even graduate), I’m able to overcome the disadvantage and create opportunities for myself. I didn’t let it get in my way, and it should never.

I think my EC along with my BG will definitely be helpful. So hopefully, good news in 3 weeks? (I hope)

“Generally speaking, applicants who fall under the “<40k/year” category are not as strong as applicants who are not in this category.”
-but what if they are?

Fitzsimmons wrote that he’d be very infuriated if he didn’t accept 250 low-income students in the EA pool. I might be wrong.

I think this new initiative couldn’t have come at a BETTER time."

I think it’s so stupid when people don’t take these posts at a face value. After all, it is the internet, how much do you know about the other person to formulate any sense of judgment?

<<i remember=“” you=“” writing=“” something=“” along=“” the=“” lines=“” of=“” denigrating=“” all=“” poor=“” people=“” who=“” haven’t=“” made=“” for=“” themselves=“”>>
–when did I ever do that in the post I quoted?
<i remember=“” you=“” writing=“” something=“” along=“” the=“” lines=“” of=“” denigrating=“” all=“” poor=“” people=“” who=“” haven’t=“” made=“” for=“” themselves=“”>

-lol saying “so hopefully good news in 3 weeks” does not transcribe to “I am going to get into Harvard” dear.</and>
