Why just generic gen chem?

Thanks.

whats p- or a-chem?

for my college we have general chem and then go on to ochem

Physical and analytical chemistry, respectively.

You don’t need to know any of this higher level chemistry for medical school

You barely have to have a working understanding of organic chemistry to do anything in medical school…seriously the only concept that is routinely used is that of hydrophobic and hydrophilic qualities…

There are lots of things which are not useful for medical school. P-chem, a-chem, Shakespeare, public policy, etc.

The problem is that p-chem and a-chem are also notoriously difficult.

Shakespeare, while not use for medical school, still fulfills my lit req, and I do happen to love the author’s work.

Do you recommend not taking it, in favor of a different course?

I make no recommendation regarding Shakespeare.

The point was that irrelevance to medical school is not in and of itself a reason not to take a course.

I recommend against Shakespeare because Shakespeare sucks.
