<p>I was just wondering why people applied Early Decision…Is it simply because you wanted to get the process out of the way and you were sure NYU was your first choice…or that you felt that you were an average canditate and felt that ED would give you a better chance…or what? I’m just curious.</p>

My father is a professor and I’ve seen so much of NYU that I’m in love with it and I would sell my soul to go there.</p>

<p>Mainly to get the process out of the way and to enjoy senior year.</p>
<p>NYU Gallatin was my first choice, far and away. My guidance counselor said it was a “match” school and encouraged me to apply to a “reach” early action, but frankly this is the school I wanted to go to, I just loved it. Now I am in and I am so glad the process is over.</p>
