I can see having a cup, but when would you need your own dish and utensils?

Because the university is sick and tired of people stealing dishes and utensils from the dining halls.

I suppose I should return the ones I took three years ago…

Berkeley is in a sketchy urban area. Guns are banned on campus. You need some sort of self-defense.

Your dish is a shield, and your utensils are weapons. They are just that way in disguise.

By the way, note that the cup is a helmet.

^ I believed you up until the “cup is a helmet” part.

You can just steal cups, dishes, and utensils from the DC. Just slip it in your bag and return them before school ends. That’s what I did. If you want to microwave or prepare food in your dorm, dishes and utensils are nice to have.

My neighbors used to have competitions on how much they could jack from Foothill DC

I have a Foothill DC chair. No joke. It’s still sitting in my living room. Got away with it at the end of my first year as retribution for the incredible amount of money I wasted at that piece of crap they call a dining commons.

Still one of my best moments in college. The other would be not knowing jack **** for my chem3B final and somehow pulling off a C in the end.

How’d you get a chair from them??

“I carry a chair around for exercise! I swear!”
