<p>I’d just like to dispel the rumor that Asians are successful because of “tiger parents” and the like. The most successful Asians I know have the nicest parents, and work hard because they are self motivated. I know for a fact that regardless of what major I wanted to pursue, my parents would be supportive :)</p>
<p>Just the statement “Asians excel at engineering, science, and math” gets me really depressed. I struggle with math and science, which leaves me no hope for engineering either. And I’m an Asian.</p>
