The OP is actually right, it’s called reversion to the mean…

If you take any person as “extreme”, then that person will usually be more “extreme” in that quality he/she is “extreme” in than his parents would be.

This is because of self-select samples. Regression towards the mean is the rule for most parents who deviate from the mean, but the exceptions are always noticeable

==
And anyhow, “hotness” often disappears very quickly with age. Take 10 years from 20 to 30, and the hotness of many formerly hot girls completely dissipates

Why does it matter? Maybe OP has hot parents…

A quote from my math teacher to the guys
“Before you think about marrying someone, look at the mom, cause that’s what you’re gonna be married to in a few years”

true dat my friend

yeah the original post is so damn true… I don’t get it either, and it is really annoying and creepy as hell, and it defies all logic.

However, hot, smart parents do not make dumb and/or ugly kids. Every girl I know with parents who are both smart AND good-looking are also extremely intelligent and sexy.

Usually good looking people have good looking kids.

However sometimes the mixing of the mother’s and father’s traits produces a child that is ugly. Reason because that looks are all about equations. Most things have to fit together to produce a good looking person.

Just think about it. Say the mom is good looking and has small facial features, and the father has a prominent nose, chin, jaw, etc.

If the kid has a small jaw and chin, and a big nose, it’s a recipe for disaster.

The person could also end up with a large jaw and chin and a really small nose that throw off the equation of the face, etc.

i dont really agree, to generalize like that. But it does occur in some cases

jaja thats true!! it doesnt have any logical explication

I agree with silverpebble, people cant make those generalizations eventhough they occure in real life there is no explanation for that and it is not that hot people have ugly parents that is absorb and that would has to be tested by scientists.

I agree with alberto!

this is probably the stupidest **** i’ve heard all day

I think this thread is really stupid but I guess I’ll throw in my input anyway because I’m feeling like wasting a little time. A “hot” guy is a combination of the best features of his parents. You might consider both ugly but if you combine certain things such as the bone structure of one with the eye color of the other, or the hair of one and the build of the other, you get what would be considered to be a good looking person. Neither parents might be particularly good looking themselves, but they each have features that, when combined, would make a good looking child.
