Why Do I Get So Much Spam About Cleaning My Colon?

^^^^lol!!!

Kajon, I also get many friendly fellows from Nigeria promising to send me lots of money as well.

And I get free memberships to Direct Buy, and roof repairs, and someting new called “Mister Steamy” which, unfortunately, is only designed to get wrinkles out of my clothes. (I had other ideas, based on his name.)

As someone who comes from a BM-obsessed family, I take offense at the thought we have some unresolved Freudian issues. I think we just see the bowel movement as a barometer of health. I still occasionally ask my teen sons how their BMs are. I’m sure they are thrilled.

Agree with whoever mentioned exercise as a key. When I was a runner I remember reading how runners rarely get colon cancer.

This may sound like a joke, but it’s not. If my dog seems like he has to go but is being “retentive” for some reason, all I have to do is throw his squeaky toy a few times. After running back and forth for 60 seconds, he can barely hold it in. That is why I completely believe that runners rarely get colon cancer.

Yep, that was before my (cc) time. I must admit that when I was in France I used the bidet in my hotel room to soak my sore feet. (yes, I knew what it was really for).

Why Do I Get So Much Spam About Cleaning My Colon?
Why do you not have your spam filter set to keep this out of your inbox?

“As someone who comes from a BM-obsessed family, I take offense at the thought we have some unresolved Freudian issues. I think we just see the bowel movement as a barometer of health.”

My grandmother was always BM-obsessed and I always thought she was a little loopy but I’m thinking she was smarter than I knew because I’m the one who had an emergency colon resection. Go figure. And I eat lots of green leafy veggies and exercise.

When I was a little girl I stayed with my grandma and she asked about my BM and I had NO IDEA what she was talking about! I wish I had a recording of her explaining it (because once she told me what BM stood for I still didn’t understand it.)

Magnolia, perhaps BM obsession is another one of those Southern things, no pun intended. ;)

Gee, VeryHappy, I don’t know what prompted the spam, but since I have just spent the last three weeks accompanying my 83 year old dad to various doctors trying to figure out what to do about his herniated colon and his colostomy problems, maybe I should have you forward them to me :)

We were about to meet my nephew’s new bride and I gave my dad very explicit instructions that he was NOT under any circumstances to bring up ANYTHING about his bowels…sheeesh!

Well, I thought I did, but only about half my spam winds up in my spam folder; the rest of it winds up in my inbox. Besides, before I delete things in my spam folder, I do take a quick look to make sure there’s nothing important there. Like $10 million from a nice man in Nigeria.

As the said in Scrubs, “It all comes down to poo.”

To answer the OP: Because there are lots of gullible people out there. They also believe that wearing magnetic bracelets will suck “toxins” out of your body and that microwaving your food makes it poisonous. In a less politically-correct age, we would have called them “idiots.”

THREAD HIJACK ALERT

And it’s just one short step from toxin-sucking magnets and poisonous microwaves to a big man in the sky in white robes moving us around like chess pieces and getting angry when we touch ourselves the wrong way.

THREAD HIJACK ALERT

manitori, I want some of what you’ve got.

This is the funniest thread…funny strange and funny haha as DD would say! Mantori, where do you come up with these things?!

“Magnolia, perhaps BM obsession is another one of those Southern things, no pun intended.”
Maybe so, my dad says that my grandmother used to make him take cod liver oil or some such nastiness if everything wasn’t working out well in the end so to speak…

Of late I’ve received quite a few emails from wealthy Chinese nationals wanting help with their multi million dollar (yes, dollar) divorce settlements.

These types of emails actually prompted some high level talks at our law firm. Firm policy is to respond to all emailed requests for legal advice, to confirm that no, we are not their lawyer. But the firm decided that we don’t have to reply to the new Chinese spammers.

just wondering that if I post magnet bed, magnetic therapy, magnetic cleansing, magnetic sex, magnetic personality, magnetic colon, magnetic toilet, magnetic mattress, magnet school, how fast that I can get new magnetic banner ads?

I must have a good spam filter–I almost never get these offers. Am I missing out on something?

And no banner ads. Boring.

mommusic, I’ll be glad to forward you the 20 or so I get every day. I won’t miss them.
