Why do I never get the guys I want?

Don’t worry about it and it won’t be a problem.

I should really have a self-help column.

^ Done that for years, not a creep repellent.

Sarcasm will not swoosh this away like a magic wand.

TA3021: If you want us to judge you on your physical appearance, you can PM me your name and I’ll look you up on facebook (if you have one). However, it is the personality that should matter and how you wear as well. If you have those two things at least, then a circle of friends will come to you, even guys.

Are these creeps hitting on you? What exactly is the problem? Tell them to back off. It’s not that hard. I really don’t understand what the issue is – could you clarify? Are you actively searching for someone, and instead attract randos? Do you do nothing and attract them? Do the men you want ignore you? etc.

In other words, is this a problem in which you are active or passive?

^ I do nothing to attract creeps. I just go about my business and they act ■■■■■■■■.

I’m not very active when it comes to looking for someone, if I see someone I’m interested in, I would take a crack at it by trying to get to know them, but that’s it.

Guys usually want to have sex on their second or even first dates, so keep that in mind.

If a guy is into you, get to know him. Take what you can get.

So you are saying that creeps hit on you and you don’t really do anything flirtacious? Is that correct?

^^So I’m ugly. Reality sucks.

“So you are saying that creeps hit on you and you don’t really do anything flirtacious? Is that correct?”

Yeah

Tell them that it’s not happening. There’s a limited number of creeps, so eventually every single one will have hit on you and there won’t be any left.

I’m serious (the last statement was clearly tongue-in-cheek though, but the thought it true). If they’re just hitting on you, then there’s nothing you can do. There’s a reason only creeps hit on you – most of the normal ones don’t do that as much.

Do you realize that relationships are built upon sexual attraction as much as personality?

If they’re not hitting on you, they want to be friends. And you want to get a guy, correct?

^ I know. That’s not my complaint at all.

It’s just that getting ignored in general bothers me.

I’m trying to put myself in everyone else’s shoes: Why would you ignore someone? Especially if they are not rude, annoying, or sulky. Or at least not aware of it…

Eh, I don’t see being “ugly” as the social death sentence that many do. I wasn’t attracted to my boyfriend when I first met him-- his nickname was “mclovin,” if that’s any indication. :stuck_out_tongue: But he was extremely kind and that caught my attention, and the rest is history. If you’re a good person you’ll find another good person, you might just have to be patient and a little more open minded.

“Guys usually want to have sex on their second or even first dates, so keep that in mind.”

just because you and a few of your friends do doesn’t mean the whole male population are whores.

That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not interested in you particularly. That may just mean they’re not interested in starting a relationship with anyone at all.

Do you want the entire male populace to fawn over you? I don’t get it.

^ I’m talking about friendship. With anyone. Male or female. I’m on the fringe of every group.

I should start a new thread asking why I get ignored by my peers in general…as everyone just thinks I’m talking about guys :/

You are ignored by your peers because you are boring and obnoxious. Either change your attitude or accept solitude.

^ How do I stop being boring and obnoxious? Why am I this way? Why do even people I know with Asperger’s have more friends than I do?

People with aspergers are not devoid of the qualities needed for friendship.

^ But their impairments hinder their abilities to make friends. Then again, out of the people in school I met with AS, only one seems to be lower functioning than I am and not by much. People think that kid is obnoxious and mostly talk to him out of kindness, my therapist says I’m not like him, but I still have to wonder…

Maybe I’m more severe than I think I am.
