Why do i want to attend NYU Abu Dhabi ?

You asked me why I think this university is where I want to be in the upcoming four years of my life. I’m sure you’ve already received countless applications stating that they want to be here, because it’s such a good educational facility, in which only the brightest of minds are accepted and taught by the greatest teachers and professors, etc.
That is not what I am going to say. Why? Because you already know that, you made the system, so I am not going to waste 250 words telling you what you already know.
What I do believe you should know is that I am sure that your facility represents what I want out of my future self. What I want to become when I am a fully-grown adult, I believe should be made in your facility.

I think it is of vital importance to know what you want and I know what I want:

 • I want to improve my relationship with other cultures.
 • I want to be in the place that chooses the best from around the world.
 • I want to be able to say that I was one of the first to make it into NYU Abu Dhabi where a new era of globalization is to start from.
 • I want to be in a place that is both close to my country (Egypt) and that I know I can entrust my future with.

In short, I want you to be my future.

guys this is it…so what do you think?? be harsh :D

Okay, the problem is this: You’ve basically said what you said you were not going to say. =P.

If that makes any sense. Also, I don’t think the bullet points are a good idea. You would do better just to elaborate on one or two of those ideas. I think the 'I want to be immersed in other cultures + globalization are the two you could go deepest into. The other two are… like you said, what the college already knows about itself. The fact that you’re from Egypt can also be elaborated upon.
A good start, but it could use some more depth. And no bullet points. Ironically, you said “in short,” at the end of your essay, as if you had actually made some very long-winded explanation…

Of course, this is just my critique… I’m not a professional writer by any means, so feel free to disregard my opinion.

Hope it helps put some perspective on the essay though…

Good luck!

man the problem is that there was a ridiculously small word limit only 250 words XD
so i tried to write something impressive in short words and btw i didnt repet my self the ponits i mentioned at the end are diffrent from the start except for the brightest of minds which i didnt see except for today :stuck_out_tongue: thanks anyway but what do you think do i have a chance btw?
