Why Do People Who Add Me On Facebook Defriend Me Later When I See Them In Public?

<p>My Facebook picture is accurate representation of me. But in several cases I had people friend me on Facebook and would be on my friend list for a while. But once I either see them in public or in class, they defriend me in an hour after class.</p>

<p>I don’t know them well, but accepted their request, because we are classmates. Why go out of the way and friend me but once they see me in public (I don’t say hi to them because I’m not friends with them IRL) they defriend me? I’m socially awkward, but it’s even more surprising to see them more socially awkward than me because they talk so much on Facebook.</p>

<p>Are you sure they haven’t just deactivated their account? They aren’t really friends if they do that, so you shouldn’t really care about them.</p>
