Why do PR and Barrons' practice tests suck?

I am not disputing that they do. They are full of typos, grammar mistakes, ambiguous wordings, and more undesirables…

My question is: why?

Why is the CB the only organization that can make decent tests? CB is not the only organization that can hire competent teachers, or proofread well, or do any of the things necessary to make a practice test worth selling.

The CB book is around $20, which isn’t more money than PR or Barrons’ is charing for their materials.

I’m just curious as to why CB tests never have any errors, and PR and Barrons’ ones do…

Thanks

Because, some of these books are written by college students. ( credited as helper). So, less error checking.

And I haven’t seen PR or barron’s hard. They are ****ing hard. Barron’s CR is probably the worst book I’ve ever seen.

CB spends thousands (more likely millions) of dollars to ensure that its tests are fair; in order to do so, it must have lucid, unequivocal tests so that it can fulfill its obligations to maintain the value of an SAT score. Test prep companies, however, are entirely motivated by monetary interests, and occasional typos aren’t detrimental.
