Why do Seniors take the ACT/SAT?

I took the ACT for the first time last week (planning on retaking it) and when I got into the room, I noticed there was this girl in there who was a senior. We are friends on Facebook and she posted her acceptance letter from her favorite college a few months ago.
But if she was already accepted and did pretty well on her last ACT’s, why would she be retaking test?
I assume other seniors do the same, but I was curious as to why that was.

maybe …

1) thinks the tests are fun and wants to see if she can improve her score

2) already knows she will consider transferring and wants a better score for a transfer application

Some colleges have scholarships that require a certain ACT/SAT. The student could already be accepted but what they really want is that scholarship and they may need a higher score in order to get it.
