<p>For this discussion, let’s exclude sports like football and basketball because they’re both a sport for physical freaks (7 ft. centers, 6’5" QBs, and 350 lbs. linemen).</p>
<p>Let’s consider popular sports for normal-sized people who aren’t too big or too small. Why are soccer players generally handsome while hockey players are not (even if you give them a full set of teeth)? Why are tennis players hotter than golfers?</p>
<p>I’m pretty sure that there isn’t one sport with a concentration of “hot” people. However, I do play tennis :D</p>
<p>I guess it’s because the sports makes people look hotter. Think about James Blake playing Basketball. That would be a total difference. Haha.</p>

<p>There are only a few sports where physical attractiveness benefits greatly. The biggest of these would be motor racing. In order for racers to get through to the top level (Formula 1) they must get millions of dollars of sponsorship. It’s much easier to get sponsorship if you are good looking.</p>
<p>Basketball players actually are perceived as the most attractive athletes because they already have the height advantage. I’m not talking about the seven footers or anyone above 6’4. Any point guard with a good looking face will pass as attractive. Take Miami point guard Dwyane Wade, voted Teen mag’s 50 most beautiful people.</p>
