Why doesn't the financial aid counselor respond to my email?

Hello,

I’m currently a BC student, and this has always been a problem. I email to my financial aid counselor regarding my financial aid package, but they never respond to any of my emails. Takes weeks and sometimes over a month. Is this how a financial aid office supposed to handle students’ emails?

Maybe times have changed, but when my kids, my husband, and I were current college students, we went in person to the financial aid office. Sometimes we needed to make an appointment, but sometimes a financial aid officer could see us as walk ins.

Did you try going in person while you were in school?

Perhaps try calling.

Email and voicemail are easily overlooked in a busy office, but a physical or vocal presence is much harder to ignore. If you are near campus, the most effective approach is to visit the office in person. If traveling to campus isn’t an option, call them directly.
