Why doesn't USNWR Rank all Universities?

<p>Why isn’t there a ranking that includes every college in the United States? Like combines national, private, liberal arts, regional, etc? Also, why does USNWE Rank all the national universities? Certainly there must be more than 200 some National Universities in the US…</p>

<p>Also, are virtually all National Universities better than most regional colleges? For instance, is Creighton behind the Top 150 National Universities because it’s regional? Generally speaking…</p>

<p>I don’t really see the point in ranking universities against LACs, at least. I think the point of dividing them into categories (all regional, all unis, all colleges) is because ranking is only meaningful when comparing peer to peer. Take away that context by comparing all colleges in the US, and the rankings become meaningless. </p>
