<p>I think we have all heard how some of the “ideal” applicants get rejected, and maybe someone who is a “lesser” applicant will get accepted. For example, more valedictorians applied at Harvard then accepted. Is is maybe that colleges maybe want a mix of people who aren’t so qualified. Is there even a logical explanation? life</p>
<p>because some schools are better than others, so not all valedvictorians will get in. colleges want diversity without sacrificing intelligence. if they reject a 1520/800/800/800 its because this applicant was only made up of numbers. if you only study, you should have a 4.0 1600 and all 800s. there is more to life than school; if there wasnt, we would all be on prozac, trying to get through the day.</p>
