Why has my grocery bill doubled?

<p>I charge groceries on my credit card. My bill from early May was literally half of the one that just came in today. I’ve been trying to figure out what has changed, and the only thing I can come up with is that my college twins came home in mid-May.</p>

<p>Well…in this house…the food bill AND the electric bill double. I can’t tell you how excited I am to pay more than $200 a month for electricity this summer when DH and I manage on less than $100 a month.</p>

<p>thumper - sometimes the electric company charges more per watt (or whatever) in the summer months so maybe it’s not all your kids fault!</p>
