Of the loans that I accepted a week ago, nothing has been sent to CARS. How long does it take exactly?

Also, I don’t want to do work study. Anyway I can convert work study into loans?

If you don’t want work study then you have to un-accept it. You should be able to contact a Financial Aid officer and get them to change it

If I un-accept work study, does that amount get turned into loans?

Tiberius: It may or may not convert to loans. It depends on how much they’re willing to allot you in subsidized loans (which I guess you have if you have work study).

I asked my finaid counselor to convert as much of my work study into subsidized loans and it only went so far (like 3,600ish a year). I still have like 2,600ish in work study. Which by the way goes for the whole year. You can make 2600 in spring if you wanted to. If your ws doesn’t convert, just don’t work. You’re not obligated to.
