I’m wondering as to why some people have already been informed of their Regular Decision acceptances to NYU while others have no notifications whatsoever? I have 2 friends in the New York area who have already been notified twice. Once via E-mail, the second via snail mail. What do you all think this means? Would NYU notify people based on the program they applied to? Has anybody else heard this?

From what I’ve seen, it looks like two groups have been notified and they are both groups that have typically gotten early notice before the usual RD notification date. They are: major scholarship winners (i.e. CAS Presidential Scholars, Martin Luther King ) and some RD applicants deferred to LSP/Core.
