Why havent i heard back? :(

I haven’t gotten a decision from any of the colleges I applied to :(. All my colleges received all of my stuff by November 3rd. My freshman year of high school i failed 4 classes, and was later diagnosed with ADHD/depression. My mom thinks that they are seriously considering my application, because if they were going to flat our reject me i would have heard back by now. She thinks chances are they are considering whether or not they should take me. Is she right? please give me a response! after freshman year i began taking all honors classes and never got below a C. I also have taken 4 AP classes ( World history: 3 on exam. English composition: 3 on exam) now taking AP gov/ AP lit. My GPA is a 2.5 because of freshman year (but after 9th grade it was a .68 so please consider how far it has come.

Even if you can only give me feedback on just one school, I’d still REALLY appreciate it
thank you

First of all, relax. Your mom is right … no rejects so far is good. Most of the schools on your list won’t get back to you until at least after Thanksgiving, and likely not until 2 weeks from now. I am not familiar with all of your schools, but UVM and UNH look pretty closely at GPA and SAT scores, so you may not have a strong chance at those based only on your GPA. It would really depend on SAT or ACT scores as well, but if your cum is really 2.5 then I would say your chances for those 2 are not great. Keene can be a very good fit for some students, so I hope you get in there.

What do you mean by “but after 9th grade it was a .68 so please consider how far it has come.” What is a .68 GPA? Did you mean 3.68?

Good luck … you just need to wait a bit.

No it was literally a 0.68, as in I failed so many classes that my GPA was not even a 1. And i got a 1740 on SATS (CR 640, math 500, Writing 600)

most decisions will come late dec, UVM is 12/15. You should have received log in info via e-mail.

Don’t worry. It is still early. Did your guidance counselor explain the circumstances? At minimum, I’d guess you’ll get into all or most of the Massachusetts schools. At my high school, people with your caliber GPA and no extenuating circumstances get into those. Your SAT is definitely within range. You should be within reach everywhere if your circumstances were properly explained.
