Has anyone read this book? McBride is the chair of African-American studies at Northwestern and apparently a gay black man. I couldn’t find the book at a local book store, and I don’t really want to order it on Amazon because of its low ratings… As an Abercrombie employee and NU ED applicant, I’m kinda curious as to what he has to say about racism and other social issues.

google around, i’m sure there are lots of articles about Abercrombie and its alleged racism, and maybe some stuff involving him. i remember protests a few years ago when they had made shirts that some asians found offensive–something about a laundry mat or store or…i don’t remember

Well if the ****ty designs and overpricing isn’t what’ll make you hate it (and the feeling of just wearing things to fit in with countless airheads), maybe the racial stuff will?

We read a NYT article about Abercrombie’s discriminatory employment practices in my Sociology class at NU. I think that’s just coincidental though - I don’t think the entire school is biased against A&F.
